Unknown Device Identifier is a useful freeware application that has been developed to help us identify our unknown devices and keep our drivers updated. The user interface is quite simple, easy to use, and can be switched from English to French, and vice versa. Once installed, this program automatically displays a list with all the devices (identified or not) that we have installed in our computer, including external drivers and portable devices. We will be able to view the name of the device and a whole range of information and identification details, such as the name of the vendor, PnpID, device, etc. By right-clicking on any item in the list, we get a pop-up menu with the following options: find drivers, contact vendor, save to file, print, and backup driver. If we select to find the driver for a specific device, our default browser will open showing us several webpages from where we can get the driver update online. If we select to contact the vendor, the vendor's home page will automatically be displayed in front of our eyes in no time. We cannot backup drivers with this program; instead we are offered to buy another program by the same developer called My Drivers. This utility is rather small and takes no time to download, which is very convenient for those people who have a slow Internet connection.
You can launch web-based user interfaces for SCM820 and Microflex Wireless.
ATI Drivers Update Utility updates your drivers for ATI devices automatically.
